How to choose honeymoon accommodation without overspending
The right honeymoon room is not automatically the most expensive one. It is the room that makes the rest of the itinerary easier, calmer, and more like the trip you imagined.

Buy location before decoration
A characterful room in the right neighbourhood often gives more value than a larger room that requires a taxi for every meal. Compare the time and transport saved by staying close to the part of the destination you will actually use.
Then decide whether the room itself is one of your memories. If it is, spend there deliberately and simplify another part of the route.
Read the ordinary day
Look for breakfast hours, shade, noise, stairs, check-in timing, pool access, and the distance to a good dinner. These details tell you more about the honeymoon than a list of decorative features.
For a short trip, a smooth arrival and comfortable sleep can be worth more than changing hotels to chase a view.
Compare the complete stay
Add taxes, meals, transfers, and any required resort or boat connection. Ask what happens if weather changes the plan. A flexible booking can be worth the small premium when the season is uncertain.
Use the destination tradeoff as your filter. If traffic is the problem, choose location; if rest is the point, choose a room where you can happily stay in.
